THE WIRE FENCE The wires are holding hands around the holes to avoid breaking the ring, they hold tight the neighboring wrist, and it's thus that with holes they make a fence. Lord, there are lots of holes in my life. There are some in the lives of my neighbors. But if you wish we shall hold hands. We shall hold very tight and together we shall make a fine roll of fence to adorn Paradise. GOD'S HELP Oh Lord, I sometimes come on problems that are quite unsolvable for me. I pray for faith in you, my God. I pray for your help to surrender to you in true humility. I ask for the strength to let go and let you do for me according to your infinite wisdom. I ask for the courage to place myself in your hands. I know that where man fails, the power of God will never falter. Lord, you will answer my prayer in my best interest. Help me that I will accept your decision for me and continue to let my life be a reflection of you. God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow or sun without rain. But God did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears and a light for the way, And for all who believe in His kingdom above, He answers their faith with everlasting love. I know that what you're going through is very serious, and right now it may seem there is no answer. But I believe miracles do happen. And as I'm praying each day for your strength, your comfort, and your inner peace, I'll also be praying for a miracle. Take Good Care and Know How Special You Are. Why so sadden? Why so depressed? Just look up and God will give you rest. He'll take your burdens as his own and give you love and strength to carry on. For a minute, look up to Him. You know He loves you, no matter where you've been. Don't give up. There's a new tomorrow He has planned for you. "You Must Blossom" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Where God has planted you, you must blossom. It is not everything to live resigned where God has placed you. You must BLOSSOM --- that is, live there happily and make others happy. To blossom means for you to show that you are happy for all the good God has done for you, for the services that are rendered you, and the devotedness you are called upon to give to others. To blossom is to tell everyone around you that you are happy; to tell them this by a simple manner and a happy face. Indeed I am well off to be here and grateful to God for all His kindness. To blossom is to be at the disposal of everybody; willing to be disturbed; to submit willingly in everything that would be agreeable to others, and never show weariness or annoyance. What strength, what peace, what self-abnegation and holiness, too, are contained in these words: "Where God has planted you, you must blossom." PRAYER TO SUCCEED I cannot be conquered. I cannot be defeated. I am a stranger to failure. For me to fail, God would have to fail. God cannot fail. Therefore, I cannot fail because the Greater One dwells within me. He puts me over. That is what I have. That is who I am. Trust Him when dark doubts assail you, Trust Him when your strength is small. Trust Him, when to simply trust Him seems the hardest thing of all. Trust Him, He is ever faithful, Trust Him, for His Will is best. Trust Him, for the Heart of Jesus is the only place of rest. FOOTPRINTS One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; one belonged to him and the other to the LORD. When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life. This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it. "LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understnad why, when I needed you most, you would leave me." The LORD replied, "My precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you." God please answer my cry in the night and give me strength to fight the fight. Grant me courage to stand up for You. Dry my tears when I cry to you.. Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand. Isaiah 41:10 IN TRIALS I cast my care up to the Lord and He will provide for me. Only in God is my soul at rest and from Him comes my salvation. Have pity on me, O God. Have pity on me. In You I take refuge. Remember Your Word to me because You have given me hope. I lift my eyes to You. From where will help come to me? My help is from the Lord who made heaven and earth. The Lord is near to all who call upon Him. The Lord is near to all who call upon Him in truth. I lift my eyes to You. A BLESSING IN TIMES OF NEED May God bless you and continue to draw you ever closer to Himself. May you seek Him and who He is and know His presence surrounds you. May you be filled with His strength, His love, and His grace for that which you are going through, knowing that He is beside you every step of the way. ALWAYS THERE Hello God, I called tonight to talk a little while. I need a friend who'll listen to my anxiety and trial. You see, I can't quite make it through a day just on my own... I need your love to guide me, so I'll never feel alone. I Asked God I asked God for strength, that I might achieve-- I was made weak, that I might learn humbly to obey. I asked for health, that I might do better things-- I was given infirmity, that I might do better things. I asked for riches, that I might be happy-- I was given poverty, that I might be wise. I asked for power, that I might have the praise of men-- I was given weakness, that I might feel the need of God. I asked for all things, that I might enjoy life-- I was given life, that I might enjoy all things. I got nothing that I asked for--but everything I had hoped for.
