Lord, You have told us many times that you came to be our Shepherd, to rescue us and bring us to the spring of life. We thank you for this promise. We thank you Lord, for your gifts. Lord, thank you for the work you have done in my life. Thank you for healing the many hurts in my life, and seeing me through each one, one at a time. Lord, I long so to be with you, but I know that my work here for you is not yet finished. Please guide me in all that I do, so that all may see, I do it for you. And when my job here is finished, Lord, take me to the perfect home you have prepared for me, and let me sing your praises forever. Thank you Heavenly Father, In your Name I pray. Amen. You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power for you created all things and by your will they were created and have their being. Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise. To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power for ever and ever. Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength be to our God for ever and ever. Amen. O God, we thank you for this earth, for the wide sky and blessed sun, for the sea and the running water, for the everlasting hills and the never resting winds, for trees and the grass underfoot. We thank you for our senses by which we hear the songs of birds, and see the splendor of the summer fields, and taste the autumn fruits, and rejoice in the feel of the snow, and smell the breath of spring. Grant us a heart wide open to all this beauty and save our souls from being so blind that we pass unseeing when even the common thornbush is aflame with your glory. O God, you are our creator. PRAYER OF THE BUTTERFLY Lord! Where was I? Oh yes! This flower, this sun, thank you! Your world is beautiful! This scent of roses.... Where was I? A drop of dew rolls to sparkle in a lily's heart. I have to go.... Where? I do not know. The wind painted fancies on my wings. Fancies.... Where was I? Oh yes! Lord, I had something to tell you: Amen A PRAYER OF THANKS Thank You, Father, For the innocent eyes of children, For the sunlight and flowers and snowfalls, For the muscles of men who build houses, And hospitals and harbors; For the minds of scholars, Who unfold the truths of the universe, For the hearts of parents who teach us to love. We thank You for what we have. We thank You, too, for those things that Your wise love has decided to withhold from us. What we are and have is from You. And our grateful response can only be to share these treasures with all of Your children. Amen. DAY BY DAY Thanks be to you, Lord Jesus Christ, for all the benefits which you have won for us, for all the pains and insults you have borne for us. O most merciful Redeemer, Friend and Brother, may we know you more clearly, love You more dearly, and follow You more nearly, day by day. Creator, I thank you for the blessings received yesterday, today and tomorrow. I ask for the strength to make it through today and the wisdom to make healthy choices. Amen. You are a mighty God! You are an awesome God! Lord, we praise you. We lift you up, for you are truly worthy to be praised. We thank you for your presence in our lives. The comfort and peace you impart to our souls passes human understanding. Thank you for molding us and making us everything that we should be. We thank you today for creating us according to Your Will. We thank you for taking the lead in our lives. We put all trust in your ability to do the very things that you say that you are going to do for us and through us. Continue to allow us to be lead by the Holy Spirit in everything we say and do.
